Studio Bookings

When do we pay for the photo session? Booking fees are payable on arrival. Acceptable payment methods; card (via chip & pin) & cheque. We are unable to release any products / media until full payment has cleared.

How many people can attend the photo session? There's no set limited to the number of people / pets per booking however the following numbers are advised: 10 Adults | 15 children | 5 pets | mix

What should I wear? Please wear something that you feel comfortable in. It can be an active photo shoot (subject to clients willingness / ability to take part in active shots). Please AVOID WHITE clothing, including socks. Bright colours are great as we can be more creative when editing the photos. We usually request shoes to be removed for the photo session but if you would prefer not to, please just say so when asked. You are also welcome to bring different outfits. You can change as many times as you like during the 10-60min studio slot.

I have just had a photo session and my children did not behave - I am worried the photographs will reflect this - Will I get a refund? The photographer has many years experience in professional white room portraiture and it is not uncommon for children to misbehave or become shy. If this happens, the photographer will have a good idea as to whether he has captured shots he feels are satisfactory. If he feels that the photo session could have been more successful, he will offer you another studio session free of charge. Studio session fees are non-refundable.

Do you charge to remove blemishes or whiten teeth? All professional editing is provided free of charge - this includes standard, artistic and advanced. Advanced re-touching is available on request only e.g. whitening teeth / remove blemishes / scars / wrinkles. Please indicate whether you require advanced editing on the booking form.

How long do you keep the photos for? Can I come back and view again? We aim to keep the photo’s indefinitely - We find clients prefer this and it also eliminates any pressure to purchase. You are more than welcome to book a repeat preview at anytime via appointment.

How many photographs will I have to view at the preview? There is no set number of images to view as this depends on the type of photo session and number of people taking part. Please expect between 10-60 images.

When will the photos be ready to view? You will be able to come back and preview the photos two to five working days after the photo session. This time scale for completion is dependent on our work load and cannot be guaranteed.

Who owns copyright to the photographs? S&B Photography own the copyright to any photographs taken, be it at our studio or at any other event under the United Kingdom Copyright Act 1988. All rights reserved. S&B Photography are not required by law to product a copyright disclaimer however do so to clearly clarify the meaning of copyright and how it applies to both S&B Photography and the client.

Can I purchase Copyright? S&B Photography does not sell copyright. We do however sell 'personal' & 'business use' image licenses. A license applies to high resolution images purchased on disc.

Should I bring anything to the photo session? You are more than welcome to bring your own personal items along to the photo session - Musical instruments, sporting equipment, toys etc. Feel free to bring a change of clothes with you should you wish, however none of these are a requirement, we do have our own studio props - all you really need to bring along with you is a big smile!

Can I bring my pets to my family photo session? Yes, however, please make sure you bring someone with you who can care for your pet(s) for the duration of the photo session. If you are not able to bring someone to care for your pet, we recommend that you bring a crate with you (if trained) as we have no staff available to look after for your pet whilst the photo session is in progress.

Wedding Bookings

Payment: The only payment required before the Wedding is a £50 non-refundable deposit. This payment secures your booking and will be deducted off the total package price upon full payment. Full payment is required at the studio viewing or no later than 14 days after Wedding. Discount % available, please enquire.

I have paid for the Silver package but have now decided I would like to order a photo book/album - is this acceptable? Yes, photo books are available to purchase at a discounted rate.

Travelling Expenses: 50 miles free of charge (25 + return). Venues within a 25 mile radius of SY8 1DJ will not be subject to travelling expense. Venues exceeding 25 miles from SY8 1DJ: 25 free + 75p p/mile (incl. return) thereafter.

Advertisement Exemption: S&B Photography acknowledge that some clients may wish the photographs to be exempt from advertisement (website, brochures, leaflets etc). Advertisement exemption is offered for a small administration fee of £1.00 per image or a 'one off' charge of £50 for all images per booking. N.B. Exemption does not guarantee complete exclusion from public view as the work may appear in S&B Photography's portfolio.

Does the price include VAT? No VAT is charged.

Can the booking be split into 2x same day sessions? e.g. 1 in the afternoon and 1 in evening? Yes - Please enquire.

Studio Photo Session: A FREE 10-60 min studio photo session + FREE 10x8” 290gsm fine art print is offered to all secured Wedding bookings - clients are able to take advantage of this as soon as the deposit has been paid. The photo session is non-transferable and can take place before (recommended) or after the Wedding.
